Words hold different meanings for each person who reads them. You see the word ‘labrador’—you might think of a big, frightening dog. Or perhaps you think of a fluffy, button-nosed puppy selling toilet paper.
Consider for a moment what you are doing in reading this: your eyes are running over a series of random shapes on a screen. But your mind is working to simultaneously translate those shapes into words which are attached to real-world ideas and objects.
All that just from some squiggly lines on a screen! Not bad, eh?
Words (like labradors) have the power to bring about positive change; they can be persuasive and focused, or exciting, comforting and funny.
